Versetzen wir uns kurz ins Jahr 2097. Stellen wir uns vor, unsere rasende Konsumgesellschaft hätte zu einer beispiellosen Transformation der menschlichen Spezies geführt und Hybride zwischen Tier, Pflanze, Mineral, Maschine und Objekt geschaffen. Was würde aus unserem Körper und unserer Seele? Wie würden sich diese neuen Lebewesen auf unserem Planeten verhalten? Welche Fragen ergeben sich für Kunst und Wissenschaft? Doch zurück in die Gegenwart denn diese neuen Lebensformen existieren vielleicht bereits.
Michaël Cros arbeitet zwischen Puppenspiel und Medienkunst. Mit La Méta-Carpe betrachtet er Umweltthemen aus der Perspektive von Science-Fiction und Anthropologie. Diese Arbeit lädt das Publikum ein, auf einer Tour durch die Heinrich-Böll-Bibliothek hybride Wesen zu entdecken und sich mit Bildern, Sound und Digitaltechnik eine mögliche Zukunft vorzustellen.

Das Publikum bewegt sich gemeinsam durch den Spielort, es gibt nicht überall Sitzmöglichkeiten. Teil des Weges ist eine Treppe; ein Aufzug ist vorhanden, kann aber nur gemeinsam mit dem Festivalpersonal genutzt werden. Hierfür bitte an der Kasse melden.

Lets transport ourselves to the year 2097 for a short time. Lets imagine that our breakneck consumer society has led to an unprecedented transformation of the human species and created hybrids somewhere between animal, plant, mineral, machine and object. What has become of our body and our soul? How will these new living beings behave on our planet? What questions result from this for art and for science? But lets get back to the present as these new forms of life already exist.
Michaël Cros works at the interface between puppetry and media art. With La Méta-Carpe, he takes environmental topics into consideration from the perspective of science fiction and anthropology. This work invites the audience to discover hybrid creatures on a tour through the Heinrich-Böll-Bibliothek and to imagine a possible future with images, sound and digital technology.

The performance begins outside in front of the library. The audience will move through the performance venue together and there are not seating options everywhere. Part of the route is a staircase; an elevator is available, but it can only be used with the assistance of the festival team. Please inquire at the box office if you need to use it.
