Midlife Crisis is Iranian comedian Shahin Asmaris debut English stand-up comedy speciala hilarious, honest, and surprisingly relatable story about taking the road less traveled, even when everyone tells you not to, and building a life that actually feels like your own.
Born in Iran, Shahin has spent most of his adult life making decisions that made perfect sense to himand absolutely no sense to anyone else. From studying English literature against all expectations, to leaving a secure banking career, moving abroad, and eventually giving up corporate life to pursue English stand-up comedy in Europe, hes been swimming against the current for over a decade.
Now 35, the Iranian comedian is calling his first special Midlife Crisis. Why? Because, as he puts it, Iranians dont have the same life expectancy as Europeansand besides, he already had his quarter-life crisis when he left Iran.
