Wie würde eine Künstliche Intelligenz Traditionen und Mythen in einer Welt, in der es keine Menschen mehr gibt, neu interpretieren? »What Humanity Taught Us« schafft mit bezaubernden Bildern einen höhlenartigen Möglichkeitsraum, der einen faszinierenden Blick aus einer fernen Zukunft auf unsere Gegenwart wirft.
Die interdisziplinäre Künstlerin Karla Kracht beschäftigt sich in ihren Produktionen regelmäßig mit menschlichen Riten und Kulten. In dieser Arbeit spekuliert sie über das spirituelle Erbe der Menschheit und webt aus Perspektive einer Post-Sapiens-Intelligenz eine Erzählung aus Puppenspiel, Zeichnungen, Video und Technologie. Objekte, elektronische Artefakte, Skulpturen, Ton, Licht und Projektionen schaffen eine feierliche Atmosphäre, in der Rituale irgendwie vertraut, doch seltsam verzerrt zelebriert werden.

How would an artificial intelligence newly interpret traditions and myths in a world where there are no more human beings? Using enchanting images, What Humanity Taught Us creates a cave-like space of possibilities that casts a fascinating gaze from a distant future onto our present.
The interdisciplinary artist Karla Kracht regularly concerns herself with human rituals and cults in her productions. In this work, she speculates on the spiritual legacy of humanity and weaves together a narrative of puppetry, drawings, video and technology from the perspective of a post-sapiens intelligence. Objects, electronic artifacts, sculptures, sound, light and projections create a festive atmosphere in which the rituals, somehow familiar but still strangely distorted, are celebrated.
