Cecilia Barra Caricciolo
Jazzclub, Karlsruhe
06.03.2025
Cecilia Barra, front-woman of Fool Arcana and Berklee Alumni, is an Italian singer, guitarist and composer.
Always working on pushing contemporary jazz and neo-soul to their limits, expanding the horizon of
possibilities, she created the Lost Generation(s) project, with the ambitious goal of integrating the
cantautorato italiano composing style with the sounds of the London and New York contemporary jazz
scenes.
Thanks to the influences from the lyrics and melodies of the Italian cantautorato on the one hand, and the
harmonic solutions and grooves of great artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei and Robert Glasper
on the other, her personal touch and music identity are clear and recognizable. The mix of the Italian and
English languages gives even richer nuances and changes of sceneries, leaving the audience intrigued and
astound.
Appreciated and supported by great jazz musicians such as Paolo Fresu and Viktorija Pilatovic, Cecilia
transports the audience on a journey, where everyone can be surprised and fascinated by the sound
research and originality of the young musician´s compositional style.
With her on stage Giacomo Zorzi on keys, Davide Ballanti on guitar, Enrico Palmieri on double bass and
Marco Campanale on drums.
