English Theatre Düsseldorf (ETD) is delighted to bring Patrick Barlows British Christmas comedy THE MESSIAH to GRENDTheater this December!
Patrick Barlows THE MESSIAH, is an amusing and farcical re-imagining of the greatest story of all time; The Nativity Story! The entire ensemble of two, under the direction of distinguished historian and thespian, artistic director Jeffrey Thespus Wimpole (Mike McAlpine) and his incompetent, er, brave assistant Humphrey Dott (Bevan Thomson), bring us their version of the entire Christmas story, with the help of fantastic opera singer (Anna Moog), who brilliantly sings excerpts from Handels Messiah. Jeffrey and Humphrey play all the popular characters, Joseph, Mary, the Archangel Gabriel, Herod, God and many, many more. Audiences will leave the theatre infected with joy and the holiday spirit.
